One of South Carolina's first designated Scenic Rivers, the mighty Edisto serves us as another excellent setting for our favorite activities, reclining and eating.
And with grand wild scenery.

Whether by tube, raft, or kayak, it's hungry work. Nature thoughtfully came up with the sandbar:

and we devised the food barge:

The state and various counties, in a wise use of resources, provide access to the river in as many places as they can afford.

This one is Martin's Landing, which Charleston County built for us to have a convenient take out spot after a three hour tube:
